The Home in Five Advantage (Home in 5) program helps potential home owners buy a home in Maricopa County.

Qualified homebuyers receive up to 3 percent assistance for down payment and closing costs, plus a loan with a competitive interest rate.

For more than five years, Maricopa County and Phoenix Industrial Development Authorities have provided down payment assistance through the Home in Five Advantage program and helped approximately 17,000 home buyers achieve the American dream of home ownership.

Required Homebuyer Education

Complete an 8-hour homebuyer education course through an Arizona-based HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agency, including limited online courses.

Homebuyers must obtain a certificate of completion and present it to their lender.  The program qualified lender will assist you with this.
